Northeastern Eye Institute’s newly renovated Honesdale office is located at 650 Old Willow Ave. In addition to Honesdale, this office serves the communities of Uniondale, Lake Como, Starlight, Milford, Hawley, Waymart, South Canaan, Lake Ariel, Beach Lake, Narrowsburg, NY, Hankins, NY, Lackawaxen, Newfoundland, Sterling, Pleasant Mt., Jeffersonville, NY, Callicoon, NY and Cochection, NY.

Our Scranton office is home to our Ambulatory Surgical Center where we offer LASIK, cataract surgery, intraocular lens implants, and other eye surgeries to correct retina issues for patients in Scranton, Wilkes-Barre, Hazleton, and other nearby areas in northeastern Pennsylvania.

Education

Dr. Sparks received her Bachelor’s Degree in Biology from Millersville University in Millersville, PA. She then went on to earn her Doctor of Optometry degree from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Salus University in Elkins Park, PA. During her time at Salus, she was a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa Optometric Honor Society and a member of the Student Optometric Services to Humanity, where she participated in and helped organize a service trip to Cap-Haitien, Haiti.

Dr. Sparks completed her clinical externships at Nashville Eye Group, Nashville, TN, YKHC Eye Clinic, Bethel, AK, The Eye Institute, Philadelphia, PA, the VA Medical Center, Wilkes-Barre, PA, and Greenville Eyes, Greenville, NC.

In addition to obtaining her doctorate degree, Dr. Sparks completed an Advanced Studies Program in Retina and gained recognition for her excellence in her Primary Care, Pediatric, and Vision Therapy internships.
