Our Scranton office is home to our Ambulatory Surgical Center where we offer LASIK, cataract surgery, intraocular lens implants, and other eye surgeries to correct retina issues for patients in Scranton, Wilkes-Barre, Hazleton, and other nearby areas in northeastern Pennsylvania.

Dr. Alexa Golecki joined Northeastern Eye Institute in 2018 and practices in our Tunkhannock and Scranton offices. Dr. Golecki received her Bachelor’s Degree in Biology from Wilkes University in 2014. She graduated Summa Cum Laude. She went on to earn her Doctor of Optometry degree from The Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Salus University in Elkins Park, PA. During her time at Salus.

Dr. Golecki received clinical honors for externship rotations including primary care, ocular disease, hospital, contact lens, and low vision. She also completed clinical externships at Family Eye Care of NEPA, Honesdale, PA, The VA Medical Center, Wilkes-Barre, PA, The Feinbloom Low Vision Center at The Eye Institute, Philadelphia, PA, and here at Northeastern Eye Institute.

Dr. Golecki was a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa Optometric Honor Society for all years of her attendance. She also received a presidential scholarship and graduated with high honors for outstanding scholarship.
